Why should I have a blog?

[Five reasons for why you should start blogging]
2. So that you are an identified / established Guru/ Activist/ problem-solver/ critic/ athority in your field.
3. So that you can flaunt it in your resume/ interview and negotiate for better pay package.
OR 3. So that you can keep doing what you “Love to do” without affecting what you “get-paid-to-do”. (How?)
4. So that you can build a tribe. A network of people who can help you, guide you, encourage you and bring you alternative income sources.
5. So that you can lead, help, share, motivate, encourage and serve.

for me there is one more reason…the things which i cannot say or convey by talking i can always write it down. it gives a platform to speak your heart out without worrying about the expressions on listener’s face.
Thanks for writing. It’s kinda creative compulsion for me too. This post though is focussed on “Why you should” rather than “Why you do…”.
For reasons on why people write, I’ve not been able to find a fifth category… The other four are here http://www.orwell.ru/library/essays/wiw/english/e_wiw
Well to justify what Pal said qualifies for “Why you should”….
If you over filled with some emotions which need to break free and there is no outlet (like talkin, as mentioned by Pal) then it is more to do with gaining something out of writing down stuff on a blog…so you should write to FEEL FREE of burden of emotions creeping up all the time on your mind….
